Well since the weekend i've had a few BSOD's of random errors that have been gradually getting worse......

Ran memtest today after finally getting the floppy drive installed in my case. (Should have done it when i built it, but its a pain in the ass) Errored after 3 minutes....

Removed offending sticks, it was the first channel. (the original set i got back when i bought the new cpu etc.) Now running the set i got after when it was dead cheap. All is well.

RMA time.

Bummer.

In all these years, that's only happened to me once

And where did I buy the RAM from?

E-Buyer :D

It took 25 days, a million e-mails and possibly a few phone calls to sort out, but I did get a replacement in the end

And folks wonder why I don't trust E-Buyer.....

Disclaimer: This happened circa 2000, have they changed?

Got mine from OCUK, will ring them tomorrow and see whats the crack, Hope i dont have to send them to GeIL direct....

Spoke to OCUK today, got an RMA number over the phone, will send them back on Monday. :)

Good news V_R :thumb:

As an aside - DDR2 RAM prices on on the way up, so get in now whilst you can ;)

Got an email from OCUK on Friday afternoon, they tested RAM, its borked. Sent it back to GeIL in Taiwan

Got Email today at midday, new RAM sent out! Should be with me tomorrow!!

Well i got the new RAM yesterday, and fitted today, been runnin sweet ever since @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1v. :)

... dont you think all your overclocking may have something to do with those bsods you had? :p

What overclocking? Thats the default speeds, its just you have to set them manually in BIOS as the SPD timings are set loose at 5-5-5-18 so to cause minimum compatibility probs. tbh it dont make any difference, but i brought low latency RAM for the low timings, if i wanted regular timings i'd have got regular RAM. ;)
