It seems that nobody uses ram drives anymore, and I'm not sure why not. For accessing data, memory is still much faster than today's hard drives. Anyway, I'd like to setup a small 5-10 meg ram drive and could use help in how to do that.

It seems nobody uses searches anymore, and I'm not sure why not. For
finding information, looking it up via a good web search is still much
faster than waiting on someone else to do the work for you. *grin*

(Sorry - couldn't resist the irony. No offense meant.)

You may want to consider this product:

You also could try Microsoft's suggestion:

Or just trudge through this web page:

Good Luck! Hope one of these helps you!

I have used Ramdisk XP to create a ram drive for temp files and
browser cache files recently, but I abandoned it when it caused havoc
with my system restore. All restore points were wiped out and I only
discovered it just when I needed to do an urgent restore. Talk about
tough luck. <g>

Anyway, if you want a free software to build a ram drive, there's one
at http://www.arsoft-online.de/index.php. It's called AR Ram Disk.
However, use it at your own risk. I have not tried it before and I
don't know if it will screw up your windows.
