RAM chip information- parity?

Is there any way I can find out if my current RAM chip
is parity or non-parity without taking my computer apart
to look at the chip itself?

Parity memory is very rare, Most modern DDR motherboards will not even work
with it. Some high end server/workstation motherboards will only work with
parity RAM. Look at motherboard manual to see if your computer will even run
with parity RAM. Also look at initial boot diagnostic screen at startup by
pressing Pause key, may say there. The BIOS setup may say too.
