Raising gamma/brightness in CSS

Despite cranking the gamma in the options of the game & in the control
panel, I can't get to the game bright enough on my monitor. I've heard of
this before with ATI software. Does anyone know any tricks short of getting
a new monitor?

Try Powerstrip.

you have to use a 3rd party program like Powerstrip or ATI Tray Tools or
Rage3dtweak. these have hotkeys you can use to increase gamma, contrast and
brightness. there are hotkeys in the Control Panel with the drivers but that
function hasnt worked for goodness knows how long and ATI are too feckin
stupid to fix it instead of giving us really useful stuff like smartshaders.
 
I tried using atitools, but when I went into the game it just reset itself,
and I couldn't get the hotkeys to work for whatever reason. But ill give it
another try.
