I am running my computer at present with 2 "Raid" partitions
One partition has Windows XP professional on it and is working fine.
However I tried to put Microsoft Windows XP 64 bit Operating System on my
other partition and was unable to do so because the supplied NVidia RAID
Drivers supplied with MB and Silicon Image Raid drivers ver 3114 required
to load the Operating system were NOT compatible with Windows 64 bit
!!.Operating system.
I find this very strang as I have previously been running the 64 bit windows
on another computer (an MSI K8) without any problems.
When will I be able to get updated drivers for the 64 bit operating system.
It seems incredible that you have sold a Motherboard for 64 bit machine and
not supplided the drivers .
I have looked on both the Nvidia and Silicon Image web sites for updates but
cannot find them can anyone help
There is NOTHING on the ASUS web site which I find shocking service !

See Chipset_64_1.zip and Chipset_64_2.zip, from December of 2004.

If you unzip Chipset_64_1.zip and run the executable (it's a self-extracting
RAR file), one of the things that it produces is a makedisk utility for the
drivers.

I don't own an A8N-SLI, but I'm pretty sure that this is what you need.

"Shocking service"? Perhaps not.

HTH.

Address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.

The driver for 64bit RAID on the Asus website does not work, I tried doing a stripped set with two western digital hard drives and it fails to work when pressing F6 to load the drives
