I'm currently set with a RAID 0 array and am thinking about switching
motherboards. If I do this, would that require reinstalling windows?
It seems as though you would have to, but I just wanted to confirm.

Thanks!

Might be easier to invest in some disk imaging software and do it that way.
Why raid 0 out of interest ?

No real reason. I have another computer that I use for work/life
stuff. This one is more my tinkering computer. Trying to learn how to
overclock, etc.

RAID 0 can have significantly higher performance.

See page three.

You have your data transfers split across two controllers/drives in
parallel which increases throughput, is the short-form explanation.
As long as you don't approach PCI (or whatever) bus saturation, it
should work every time. Driver efficiency and RAID controller design
affect these numbers as they do for other RAID levels.

Generally, anything done in parallel with increase throughput.
