RAID Mirror breaking on P4G8X Deluxe

ASUS P4G8X Deluxe, BIOS 4.2.24
Sil Image controller 3112A, driver 100051

Two Seagate 80GB’s, model number ST380023AS in RAID 1 configuration.

Device manager reports Sil Image RAID 1 Set 0 SCSI disk device driver
as 7/1/2001 with driver version 5125350

Intel Application Accelerator installed (if it makes any difference)


Every once in a while the mirror set is reported broken when the
computer starts up. It is not related to a previous improper shutdown.
Is this is known problem ? Any suggestions to fix or troubleshoot would
be much appreciated.

Lates 3112A BIOS is 4.2.50, so be sure you have latest beta system
BIOS(1007beta2). Go to microsoftupdate as well for the new driver 100053.
