You need the nForce drivers. There are beta drivers for RC1, but they
only offer basic functionality. As far as I can see they don't offer
support for RAID.

And after configuring everything in BIOS and NVIDIA NVRAID MediaShield there
is no need to make some changes under Vista control ? Only RAID driver?

you configure RAID in the bios... Windows simply sees your RAID volume as a
drive. it has no idea whats going on behind the scenes.

unless of course its software RAID, which in your case, isnt

But please tell me how to do that:

I've already installed Vista on Disc C (320GB) which only 100GB is free (a
lot of data, docs, music etc)
and the second drive 320GB is totally free.

Is it any way to create RAID (may be mirror) without data loss? I don't have
third drive to backup data and then install system...

Lewy:
All raid arrays have to be setup prior to installing the operating
system. I'm using a NForce4 chipset; 1) I enabled raid in the bios, 2)
During post I hit F10 to setup the raid array, 3) Booted to the Vista DVD,
4) Installed Vista. With RC1 there were problems with the NVidia raid
drivers, those were corrected in RC2 and RTM. The NForce4 raid drivers are
included on the Vista RTM DVD, I'm not sure about the NForce590 raid
drivers. During installation when the screen comes up as to where to install
the operating system, If your raid array is listed the drivers are included
on the DVD. If the raid array isn't shown you will need to install the
drivers by hitting "Load Drivers". The easy thing to miss is enabling raid
in the bios and setting up the desired raid array during post, before
installing the operating system. Have a great day.

Lewy:
When rebuilding a raid array there is an option to erase data or
save data. I don't know if this option is available when building an array
though.

If I try to build array system ask me to CLEAR data. I say no.
And then I can obtain new array (stripping, mirror) but installed system
with data won't start... So the only one way to do array is clear everything
and make install OS in RAID mode with created array.

Lewy:
When you setup a raid array with data on one drive, that drive has
to be listed first and the blank drive second.

That what I tried to do but didn't helped me...
