I set up a mirror array for my computer. It says its healthy when i boot up
my computer and it only shows one of the drives in XP which it should. The
only thing is my SATA drives don't show up in my BIOS so I'm worried that my
raid may not work because of it. When I installed XP I installed the RAID
drives through the F6 key. So should I be worried?

It depends on the controller they are connected to as to whether they are
seen in the bios
Mine aren't, and its been running fine for 2 years now

So is there a way to check for sure?

If the raid utility shows all ok, or a check shows all ok, then it must be
assumed all is ok

To check for sure Click on START/ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS/COMPUTER
MANAGEMENT/STORAGE/DISK MANAGEMENT it will show all your drives and if they
are healthy or not.If admeminstratrative tools is not listed under start
then right click on the start button click left properties left click
advanced and scroll down to the bottom of the list and click the dot to show
admin. tools.

Hope that helps

Most onboard RAID controllers will NOT show more than 1 drive in disk
management. I have never seen one that does.

[Windows SERVER software mirroring will show both.]

In my opinion, a RAID controller is almost useless without a convenient
method to check the array from your operating system (Windows).

Otherwise, there is (in my experience) always a way to check during the
boot process - sometimes with a status message displayed automatically,
other times by pressing a function key to enter the RAID setup software.

Check with the manufacturer (website) for details, software, etc.
