Hi
I have recently formated my hard drive and reinstalled the original windows
xp home. Everything seems to have gone well the only problem I have I can not
find the drivers for RAID CONTROL I cant find the name of the manufacture to
obtain the drivers any ideas anyone please.
I did once come across a site that could tell you the name of the
manufacture by the FC number, the number I have is FC MP 680
Thanks

Hi:

Let see..

You can open your box to see the manufacturer and model of the CTRL, or,
you can install this application and see the model. As soon as we learn
that... Bingo...8-)

Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit (Version 7.1h)
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Later you can uninstall it.

I hope it helps.

Hi Juan
tried the Belarc and profile shows the same with raid controler in the
computer or out.
the box tells me manufacturer unknown. Where do I go from here
Thanks for your reply

If the PC was built by a major manufacturer (e.g., Dell, Gateway, Compaq),
look for information about the model number on their support website, or
email their supoort group. If a home-built PC, and the controller is on the
motherboard, contact the motherboard maker (e.g., ASUS, ABIT, INTEL...). If
home built and the controller is on a separate card, the name of the maker
is likely on the card.

Where the PC came from is important, since the drivers may be different for
a brand-X controller on a brand-Y motherboard than for a brand-X controller
on a name-brand-PC-type-Z, etc.

There is another tool, Everest that may be helpful.

If that fails, can you take a HIGH quality digital pic of it, and post
a link? Someone may be able to ID it.

Hi: I forgot to ask you...In the POST, just after the memory count and HDD
detection... Do you get any reference to the card? Like Symbios model XXX or
Promise model yyyy...or something like that...

We need to know if it is a card in one slot or if it is embeded on the
mother board. If it is embed, maybe it is not activated by BIOS, althought
the berlac seems to detect something....

Let us know...
