Hello

I just set up an RAID 0 array and i have a question regarding the
synchronization of the disks. I'm using the VIA RAID tool 4.04 under
Windows and did the synchronization for the first time.

Do i have to do this like once week to keep all the data up to date on
both disks or does it do the write process simultaneously on both disks?

greetings..

Of course it's RAID 1, not RAID 0... :/

you need rebuild only raid 1,5 and so on.

raid 0, wrights to 2 or more disks all the time.

It can be done to rebuild the array from a new (replacement)
for one failed drive or if you have a specific reason to
believe the data is inconsistent. In use the data is
written to both simultaneously, you should not need to sync
them again. If you wanted to periodically add a 3rd disc to
make a removable backup of the array (thus removing it or
leaving it in the system but leaving the removed (original)
drive out of the system on a rotational basis) then of
course you'd have more occasions to sync them.
