I have a p-4 w. 512 meg or ram. (SP Pro)

I insalled RagTime Solo (5.6x).

It starts -- I get the splash screen and accept the incividual use licnese.

Then the desktop appears with the red squirrel - a few seconds later
it biink out.

I've treied running the 'setup' and info' first? Same result,

I unintalled and reintalled? Same story. It seems nice - - If it
would work?

There is no app on this machine that has problems and I have scores.
They all run great.

Except RagTime Solo -- Which won't even get 'going', beyond the main
screen...

Which exact version of RagTime do you have? AFAIR, the newest is 5.6.5,
there are one or two (small) bugfixes you have to download and install in
addition to the setup file. (They are not included)

In case you already have the newest patches, please contact RagTime
themselves, they have a message board somewhere. Do not forget to tell them
your exact operating system.

I have 5.6.5! But it's only a few days old...I head over to the site
and report back.

It may be fiixed. In a forum they suggested I run it in W2k mode---Still
crashed.

Then I found another poster who suggested deleting some preferenced
files in Documents- Settings/
Application Data. I only left on file out of four there. It started?
But when it asked for config setttings?

Hey, I just skipped that for now. I'll find out what I 'need' and
proceed with caution. Never had tu use the
'Run app in W2k mode' -- If ya don't know, Right click on the .exe
-Preferences---make the choice.

BTW -- Of all the notepad substitutes? (And I have a bunch?? Edit Pad
light is damn basic? But I seem to be stuck on it

I liked Note Pad? And suddenly found I was using Edit Pad?
