Rage Pro & Win 98

Hi,

I have an old Win98 machine with a Rage Pro card. It doesn't seem to matter
what drivers I install, this thing will only work in 16 color mode.

Any ideas what I can try?

Sounds like you are using the wrong drivers
assuming you are , I had a loose connection once and it would only work in
16 colours
reseating the board may help

i'd re check the card to see if it is a rage pro. then if it is, change
to vga mode, uninstall all rage pro drivers(if u can which i doubt as
ati rage pro drivers never want to uninstall)

remove all ati*.* files from c:\windows and it's sub directories, remove
all ati references in the registry.

reinstall correct driver. rage pro not rage 128 pro.
