I'm running win XP home, on a desktop/tower 400watt PSU
the mobo is an Asrock with the SIS chipset and an AMD
2500xp(barton core) 1gig of crucial DDR333 in two sticks
and the system runs fine with all updates and drivers
installed but when I run microsofts Age of Mythology the
game periodicly either freezes or returns to the desktop
screen, If it freezes then nothing can be done except to
turn off and back on I've tried 3 sets of drivers
incuding the latest from ATI and the board manufacturer.
any insight as to what may be causing these issues would
be much appreciated. and thank you in advance.

This is usually due to RAM errors. Run memtest86 to check. Be sure to have
latest BIOS and chipset drivers for motherboard AGP chip. Try adjusting BIOS
options. Go to:

Hi, not necessarily, there are many things that can cause this to happen. It
could be the PSU not putting out enough power, it might be one of the bios
settings or an up to date bios req. Maybe the latest drivers, specifically
chipset and vga might be needed. Could you post up your hardware details
please?
