Radio Buttons

John

I am creating a questionnaire, where there are yes and no questions that have
radio buttons next to each answer. I have two questions.

1. Currently I have six questions with 6 yes and no questions. When I
click on yes in the first question the radio button lights up. But when I
answer the question in question 2, the first radio button goes away. I think
I am going to need to group the two radio buttons together so that it does
not affect other questions. How do you do that?

2. I want a numbering system so that if they answer yes, it gives a number
value, and if they answer no they get a different number value. Some
questions might have different number values. Is this possible? How can
this be done?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

hi
1. hope you are using from the control group and not the forms group.
each radio button has a groupname property. by deflaut it is give the sheet
name. change that to Q1 for question 1 or some name you like. each group must
have it's own groupname.
2. use the linked cell property. with a radio button the linked cell will
produce a true/false responce. you can then count the number of trues(yes?)
or Falses) you could select the linked cell the radio button sits over to hid
the linked cell.

Saved from a previous post:

If your optionbuttons are from the Forms toolbar, the put all your optionbuttons
in each group in a groupbox (also on that Forms toolbar).

If your optionbuttons are from the Control Toolbox toolbar, then rightclick on
each optionbutton show the properties (you'll have to be in design mode for
this). Each group should have its own unique groupname.

If you're creating a survey form, you may want to look at Debra Dalgleish's
site:

ps. If your only choices are yes/no, you could use a single checkbox per
question.

If it's checked, it's yes. If it's unchecked, it's no.
