I'm having problems with IE6. Sites load fine, but some of
the radio buttons won't work. I had to send this message
via Mozella because the "New Post" button did not work. I
think the problem is in some of the settings, but I don't
know which. Can anyone help?

Have you installed any programs and uninstalled any, Larry?
I hate to give you the third degree, but do you have an AVP(current) and a
Firewall?
You might run an online scan at Symantec::
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym
If that shows up anything I have a list of fix tools page
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html
If you didn't need any of that, let's try installing I.E.6 again w/SP1
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.asp
If you need any information on protecting yourself here is one page
http://twebman.lunarpages.com/security.htm
If you need good programs to practice safe hex
http://www.spychecker.com/
Take a look at Ad-aware and SpyBot S&D to go with a good AVP and you might want to
look at Zone Alarm for a software firewall.

I did a scan thru symatec as you suggested. No problems
detected. I run AVG and do a complete scan daily. I also
do the online Housecall scan every day or so. I already
use Zone Alarm. I did discover while running the tests you
suggested that IE prevents opening page popups without
holding down the Control key while clicking. Using this
method, I can open all that was blocked before. I'm sure
there is a setting that has gotten changed in some way,
but don't know which one(s). I can live with this tho. Any
other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch
Don, you've been a great help.

You just have security set tight, it won't load pages that require cookies and
popups. Just go to Internet options and check security tab to the top bullet,
which is looser. I used to drive my son crazy changing things and would answer, "I
didn't do anything", but I actually didn't remember doing anything that could
hurt. hahaha.

If you have anything else, I'll try, but sometimes it's pretty hard to guess. The
most important item in solving issues is to have someone that can work with us.
Hope it gets going. You can install it over the top, twice, with SP1 to get
defaults all back like factory. If you have broadband, that's just a little
hastle, but dialups-a-killer.

Good luck to you,
don
