Just upgrade my Geforce 2 card to an ATI 9800 Pro (latest drivers) and I
can't get Vice City to boot up from the play disk. It worked fine with the
Geforce card. I've also installed the 1.1 patch. Nothing doing. Is there
a card or software setting I'm missing or what??? Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks AJ

When Vice City installs it looks to see what video card is in the
system and loads appropriate texture files. You'll need to uninstall
and reinstall the game. I'm not sure if any saved games will still
work if you back them up, but worth a try.

remove the gta_vc.set file from the gta folder in my documents. it'll
recreate it on the next game start and redetect the new video card

Remove gta3.dir and gta3.img from your models dir. They wil be greaded
again next time you start GTA vc.

Removing those files as stated will allow you to play the game. There are
instructions in the Readme file for the game.

The 1.1 patch is an unofficial patch for graphics curruption I don't seem to
get with my 9800 Pro.
