I have a radeon 9000 card and after a power suply burned, my vga display a
totaly corrupted screen with erroneous colors and pixels when computer boots
and in w98.

But surprisingly when starts to boot in WXP all problems disseapeare
completely and runs with no problems all the time.

What can I do?. Is very difficult to reflash the bios because if I boot in
DOS only see erroneos pixels and colors. What is doing WXP to solve the
problem?

Thanks
Xavi

Are you overclocking? what other hardware are you using?

AMD XP2400(2000@2100)
MSI KT2 Combo
512MB DDR266, R9000, Seagate Barracuda IV...
W98 & WXP

have you tried setting the cpu at default to see if this problem goes away?
I know on some boards that overclocking can lead to a corrupt display
through the bios and bootup.

If it is indeed a BIOS problem, I'm sure he can find how to flash it blindly
with a floppy that has the right commands on it so that you don't need to
type hardly anything. He could also borrow an old PCI vid card and then do
it normally.

SOS!!.
I flash the bios but I did it wrong, I have the Club3d Radeon 9000 XT
CGA-9064TV non pro, and I'm think that I flash with a RadeonPro bios I only
see it after.

I get the bios here http://www.sweb.cz/halen/biosy/biosy.htm. I need the
good Bios but I can't find it, anybody can tell how could get it?.

Thanks

tsk, tsk, tsk...

You mean to say that you did not back up the original BIOS? You may, very
well, have screwed yourself. Unless, you can find a workable (or the
original BIOS, for your card) BIOS...

I did it blindly because the screen was corrupted, and all was wrong, the
backup file was not generated and after the screen became totaly corrupted.

This is what I'm loking for?.
