I sent a error report to MS
Help was not uesfull!

Has anyone else this problem?

No problem with XP!
I still work with XP (dual boot)
The only option i miss is to set this card to AGP 4X mode via the drivers
In AGP 8X mode the card has stability problems with some games also under XP
but it works fine in 4X mode
No tool available to do this under Vista
I think this will solve the problem .... maybe

Ralph,

Just wanted to make sure the you used the ATI drivers for Vista, from ATI's
site.

Marty

mine is NOT SIS bios.

Same board and memory on the board.
Gigabyte mobo, via chipset, AMD CPU

Same here..no problems but in the X86 version not X64.

Yes, i use the latest Catalyst (32Bit) drivers from dec. 13th (still beta)
and i tested also with the Microsoft drivers (not beta).
Result is the same.
I think it is a problem with the SIS Chipset (SIS 648) and the AGP 8X Mode!
The board is not the best MSI 6701 (special OEM version) but no problems
with XP and i play all kind of games.

Vista has a lot of problems to boot up sometimes.
Never have seen so much crashes and blue sreens and i have all windows
versions tested since beginning on.
I use the latest Relatek AC97 audio drivers ..... as soon as i want to
change settings explorer crashes!
I cannot install and use my virus scanner (mcaffee 8.0i enterprise)
I test windows Live OnCare at the moment ... but it is so slow scanning
files for viruses.
I cannot install nero and the integrated vista burning support is limited
.... i miss so much options!
The included Media Center has limited recording functions compared to the
original Windows Media Center
..
..
A endless list of software not supported anymore or not working like it
should be.

I will boot now XP and wait for new drivers and a miracle ;)
