I'm having issues with the Radeon 9800 Pro Drivers....

The program I am testing uses a lot of graphics and upon load the graphics
are freezing on the first frame, upon change of views the drivers are not
updating the video display...

I have tried both the MSFT drivers for the 9800 and the ATI drivers and both
behave in the same way...

Will Windows XP drivers for the Radeon work in Vista Beta 2?

I have the 128mb model of that card - installed OK no probs for me - using
windows drivers.

I have the same video card by the sounds Steve... Everything else works
fine, it's just this one program I'm running which is very video card
intensive...

I used the WDDM drivers as well as the Radeon Drivers that are built for
Beta2 5384.

I did decide to force the Catalyst 6.5 drivers for XP to run the video card
and this has at least given me functionality back in the program, no more
frozen screens...

I have notified the software developers of the issue and hopefully they'll
talk with both the Vista guys as well as the guys at ATI and build a new
driver soon...

Only thing I need to get going now, is to get the CCC working so I can turn
on AA, and AF...

Then it's on to tracking down my internet networking issues...

lol ok word to the wise, the web based newsgroup ain't functioning too
well - sorry for the spam posts, grrr website said it wouldn't post

Josh, I am experiencing the same issues and am trying a variety of things.
When I tried to force Vista to use the newest XP drivers it crashed my system
and a reinstall was required (NO recovery possible!).

How did you "convince" Vista that it wanted to use the XP drivers? I used
the Compatability Wizard...needless to say this is very frustrating!!

Any help or advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated! Anyone
know why the RC1 drivers from ATI does not include drivers for all aspects of
this card?
