Google for "Artic VGA Silencer 1"

Personally, I replaced the fans on my 9500 Pro and 9800 Pro w/old Pentium
ball-bearing fans. Usually this involves gently bending some of the fins on the
heatsink so they can grab the screws from the Pentium ball bearing fans. These
fans put out a lot more CFM than the stock 9500 Pro/9800 Pro fans.

I had to replace the heatsink unit on mine because the fan failed ...

On my 9700 Pro (by Sapphire), it was a matter of releasing a pair of
plastic pinclips and then pulling the old heatsink module off. After
that, you will need to clean the heat transfer gunk off the graphics
processor.

Fitting the new one will depend on the replacement ... With my Zalman
passive cooler, there's a long string of things to do ... (5 major
metal bits to fit on to the card ...) It's do-able though. Don't
forget heat transfer compound between processor and heatsink though -
to replace the used up gunk that you cleaned off.

My recommendation - if you're not overclocking, try out the Zalman
passive cooler. It's basically 2 big lumps of metal, 2 small lumps of
metal and a bent tube. The big lumps cool the processor passively,
meaning that the card makes no noise whatsoever :-)

For more on the options (and a little on how they fit to the cards),
take a peek here : www.overclockers.com
and here : http://www.pcmech.com/show/coolingreviews/723/
That review mentions the extra fan you can buy ... not really
necessary on a 9700 Pro unless you clock it too quick. But then my box
has a 92mm fan blowing on to the cpu, with the air then blowing on to
the graphics cooler ...
