Radeon 9700 pro 2-D screen is 'wavy' at 1152x864

When I use my Sapphire Radeon 9700 pro at 1152x864, I see display corruption
in 2-D. The picture displayed is "wavy" (for lack of a better description.
These "waves" run from top to bottom of the screen at a fast speed. It's
very distracting.

I've tried just about every driver ATI ever released. Same results.
I've tried putting the card in a different motherboard. Same result
I've tried using a different monitor. Same result
I've tried changing the refresh-rate. Same result
There are no electrical fields near by that could cause this (I've move the
computer around the house to test this theory)

This "wavy" distortion only happens at 1152x864 resolution.

How can I get rid of this corruption?

thanks

One last thing to try, try a differente monitor *cable* ... also, if
your monitor has BNC inputs in addition to the standard 15 pin
connector, you might try getting a BNC cable (but you will lose DDC
functionality).

See my post just above: "Remove ATI Control Panel: Yea!"

I should have mentioned in it that this bug is specific to running 1152 x
864, thanks for reminder!

BTW I already tried all the stuff the others suggested to you ;-)

Let the group know if this works for you!

I've already tried a different monitor (with a different monitor cable). I
get same results
