Just installed the 9600 Pro. There is about a half inch clearance between the
card and the one next to it (I think it is the sound card). Does this provide
enuf cooling space? How can I find out if not enuf heat is being dissipated?
Will it show a warning sign? Thanks in advance for suggestions,
K Zirkel

Not a good idea for the soundcard to share a PCI interrupt channel with a 3D
video card, while it'll probably be Ok, it would better leaving that slot
blank, BTW AGP, PCI 1 & 5 all share the same channel.

Absolutely true Alan, virtually all mobos seem to have PCI slot 1 sharing an
IRQ with the AGP slot. However, KZ's enquiry was about cooling space: I
would say that, unless you have good ventilation in your case that
specifically directs air between those cards, something like a higher end
video card is going to generate too much heat to make it safe to put another
card next to it.
