Radeon 9200SE with PCI Port

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop with Windows XP. I've got the service
pack and all the updates. But I recently bought a Radeon 9200SE graphics card
with a PCI port and it will not work. When I try to plug the moniter into the
card, I get nothing on screen. Can someone help please
 
And how do I disable the built in graphics and use my new card? Dells come
with Intel Extreme 3D Graphics
 
Dells also come with a manual that explains what a BIOS is,how to enter the Bios
and how to shut down the build in Graphics card and install a new one.

If the PC has onboard graphics, did you remember to disable them in the BIOS
before installing the new graphics card?
