Think I put the OMEGA series on both 7500 and 9600 series Radeons,
probably so, only way I can go native on these displays at 1368x768
off ancient cards. XP, though -- 98 is such a pain to keep from
crashing on newer hardware, all I use is its 98DOS. May also be
convoluted, the all-in-1 OMEGA package, hopefully, as they once were
known, it won't barf up the installation or require reading up on
unusual uninstall procedures if you've residual hooks off a prior ATI
install(s). ...Just "the files" being something of a misnomer when
dealing now with the ATI/AMD presence, a Canadian video offshoot 10
years ago in your placement, but should at least be able to find a
reasonably supportive facsimile for running it within links to 98
under OMEGA.

Wrappers suck. What I've done is to run the installer in a sandbox, and
when it doesn't find the card in the virtual environment, it just puts the
files you want in a directory you can pull them out of to put on the other
machine.

I'm using Oracle's VirtualBox, but another sandbox should work as well.
