Hello,

The RadeOn 3300 integrated graphics chipset seems to have problems playing
youtube video's and other webbased video's probably x264/h264/webm and such.

Blocks are visible, tearing of blocks is visible and green masks are visible
and other video distortions/artificats... it's pretty serious too... could
also be mpeg2 problem.

The higher resolution videos seem to play fine... the lower quality ones
have problems.

I tried installing latest catalyst drivers and media codec pack but this
didn't help.

Any ideas ?

(Perhaps I should try setting UMA(?) or something like to disable or Ram to
256 instead of auto in bios... not sure what that is all about)

Or perhaps it's just buggy amd/ati drivers as usually.

Kinda funny ^ pair ^ those two... amd drivers buggy, ati drivers buggy, they
short like buggy stuff over there ! LOL =D

Fortunately I have GT 520 which seems to work fine but is currently
unfortunately not usuable because it most do cuda stuff... but I can always
switch back if I really need to or get fed up with the buggies ! ;) =D

Bye,
Skybuck.

Quake 3 is pretty much unplayable with this RadeOn 33000 graphics chipset.

The FPS is 60 in corridors and when enemies appear or shooting starts it
drops to 30 or 40 fps with wild movement fluctuations.

So my mouse pointer seems to jump all over the place.

Kinda strange... even if I set everything to low detail then it still jumps
weird.

Perhaps I should try lower resolution and see if that helps.

Also perhaps I should find and check bios manual somewhere to see what those
options mean.

Bye,
Skybuck.

1600x1200 was unplayable
1024x786 was playable, though an occasional small hick up noticeable.

The windows 7 basic gui is also a bit laggish so that's also starting to
annoy me a bit.

The internet also seems to have slowed down, I wonder why... perhaps some
cable broke again in the ocean somewhere, or perhaps something else is going
on.

I wonder if it's maybe ipv6 lag, it tries ipv6 first, then switches to ipv4
or so... I think xp did that so w7 might do that as well, though I am not
sure.

I can't really say that Microsoft Software has improved on the usuability
front... it has some things extra... but also many small little issues...
and those small little issues together are a pretty big drag and also
slowing starting to annoy me... like very little menu texts which are
easily overshot with mouse cursor... windows live mail not working well, ms
paint not closing properly, calculator not easy to reset, disk low on space
nag, do you want to reboot nag after updates installed, no internet
connection lights, task manager not showing all processes by default, no
windows explorer in all programs, taskbar big icons act kinda weird.

The list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on...
even ms paint don't remember painting settings ;) :)

I've been thinking it a lot lately, and now I am going to say:

IT'S TIME THAT BILL GATES GOES BACK TO MICROSOFT AND STARTS KICKING SOME
ASS.

Because there is too much retardation going on inside Windows 7.

Too much slacking off.

MUST KICK MORE ASS ! ;) =D

Bye,
Skybuck =D

See "Bill Gates must go back to Microsoft" for follow up lol.

Bye,
Skybuck.

What happens when you disable hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash ?
Right click in the video playback frame, and use the mini-dialog to
disable hardware acceleration.

You haven't noticed yet that Skybuck is only here to post his diary
entries? With all the problems he professes, he doesn't trust his own
hardware and software to retain his own diary on his computers. Instead
he dumps them here.
