Just tried to install this card in my XP PC. Screen looks fine when I
first boot but as soon as it detects the new card and installs the
drivers, it drops to 600x400 color depth 4 !! No matter what I try it
will not change. device manager identifies it correctly and shows it
installed correctly Any ideas please? I bought this in the hope of
connecting to my HD TV as it states it is HD capable!!

Help!

cheers,
Len

Always get the latest available drivers from the video card maker.
Microsoft's "default" drivers (any hardware) can be limited.

Sorry should have made it a bit clearer!1 I used the CD that came with
the card - Club3D - it's AGP BTW. I downloaded the latest drivers via
the Club3D site but when I tried them, I got a 'Severe' error message
saying I had no hardware installed for the drivers !!

Device manager shows it correctly identified as a Radeon 9200PRO HD
AGP card and says it's working fine??

Not sure if this related or not but when I have the old card in -
9200LE - I get the Standby option at shutdown. With the 9200Pro
installed, that option has gone ?? Very odd and maybe totally
unrelated?

Sounds like you have the wrong drivers installed.

Get the correct drivers from the manufacturer's site, ATI.

Check and update / install the motherboard chipset drivers. Chipset
drivers should provide a driver for the AGP slot. With this driver
installed, most XPes should detect the "enhanced" AGP video card
functions.

Problem turned out to be the mobo!! Asrock K7VT2 couldn't handle it.
Swapped into an Abit AN-7 and working a treat now!!
