I have an Epson R800 that will not power on. I've had it for about two
years and it was working fine up until a few days ago when I could not get
it to turn on. No noise, no lights. I've tried pulling out the USB cable
and I've tried a different wall socket, but no luck.

Any ideas?

There is a fuse on the power supply that may have blown. Unfortunately access
to the fuse requires disassembly of the printer. Also, more often that not, the
fuse fails because of a deeper problem in the power supply itself so power
supply replacement is probably necessary. It may be cheaper to replace the
printer than have this done at a repair center but a good repair centre should
be able to quote the cost of repair. If you are technically experienced you can
remove the covers and check the fuse.

THE USB CONNECTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WID POWER. YOU MAY HAVE A BAD
ELECTRICAL SOCKET. PLUG IS IN SOMEWHERE ELSE. IF THERT DUS NOT WORK
THEN MAYBE THE ELECT4RICAL CORD IS BAD AND NEEDS TO BEE REPLACED.

I took it apart a bit, but could not find anything obviously wrong, so I
just dropped it off at a repair center.

Thanks,
Tod
