I just left a posting in regards to the dxdllreg.exe pop
up that started coming on during startup (login). The
actual pop up that I receive first is QVP32 locked up on
startup. Once I click okay, the next pop up is about
dxdllreg.exe All this started just after I installed a
few XP updates. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks,
John

QVP32 is Quick View Plus. I've noticed this issue many
times in the last few years. If you have QVP installed on
a system and update DirectX, you will always get the
dxdllreg.exe file loaded with QVP instead of being run
once after DirectX setup. In your case QVP is crashing
which I never have seen happen before. No matter. Do the
following:

1) Close the QVP error and the dxdllreg.exe pop-ups
2) Start>Run and type
c:\windows\system32\dxdllreg.exe
where c:\windows is your current windows path.
This will finish the DirectX setup.

The error should no longer appear.

Hope this helps!
