For the past few days, for the first time in this Newsgroup, my software (AOL)
shows dozens of messages, but when I open the List, I get only one or two
messages. Is this problem happening to others?

Dumb question, but is the newsreader set to group news posts by subject?
Can it be that the others are located below a parent message? My
newsreader (Opera) has a graphic next to the parent message showing that
others are available by clicking on it.

FYI, posted elsewhere, < quot >
For members using AOL over a dial-up connection, you will no
longer be able to access Newsgroups. If you have a separate
high-speed connection, you can contact your broadband provider
to see if they offer Usenet/Newsgroups. Usenet services can
often be accessed through a third party reader, such as Mozilla
Thunderbird
