does anyone know of a decent computer case that keeps in the noise, and
keeps nice and cool for around 150 euro ?
i have a midi box thats too small, and everything is overheating because
theres no space for a decent fan.

cheers

I don't know what the going rate for hardware is in your area but for 150
euro I'd think you could get an Antec Sonata. On the other hand, any case
with fairly thick metal and an appropriate number of unobstructed fan
mounts, fitted with your choice of fan, can be pretty quiet.

Instead you could cut a hole in the side-panel and install a fan... a lot
less work and expense than buying a new case and transferring everything.

hmmm, the one we have at the moment is too noisy, the case itself is too
thin and flimsy, so i`d prefer to go for a new one.
cheers for your advice.

what about the thermaltake v5000?
i looked at one today and have heard that they are pretty good albeit the
price (150 euro).

cheers

It's decent but a bit overpriced since it's just a Chen Ming (Antec et al)
with a few Thermaltake-unique features. I think it has adjustable fans,
you'll need to adjust those to keep it quiet.

The Thermaltake power supplies are decent but not as good as Antec
Truepower of similar wattage. However I don't recall the Thermaltake PSU
noise level.
