Hi,

I have Internet Explorer 6.0. Quicktime has definetely worked for me before
(I'm not sure when the last time was that it worked because I don't use it
that much), but for some reason, now, streaming videos won't work in web
pages anymore. Whenever I open a window with a Quicktime movie in it, I just
get white question mark over the Quicktime symbol.

I installed (and reinstalled) the very latest version of Quicktime - didn't
work. I tried installing Quicktime Alternative - didn't work. I downloded all
the latest codecs and drivers for my computer - didn't work.

Please help!! I have looked everywhere (including in these newsgroups) and
have tried everything and nothing has worked.

I said that I've repeatedly reinstalled Quicktime and asked Quicktime for
help, that did not work. Furthermore, responding simply with a link to the QT
web site is extremely rude and unhelpful.

It would appear there's something wrong with the QT add-on for IE.
Completely (manually) *uninstall* QT, then reinstall it:

Also, in IE go to Tools...Manage Add-ons, switch to the "Add-ons that have
been used by Internet Explorer" in the drop down menu at the top, and make
sure any "QuickTime Object" ActiveX control (QTPlugin.ocx) is not disabled.
Also, make sure your security settings are not blocking the running of
ActiveX controls.
