Quicktime movied stopped playing

Hello

I am a mac user but have to use pc for powerpoint a lot

I have a quicktime movie which i inserted into ppt on a windows
machine and it played brilliantly - saw it projected on the big screen
via the projector.

I can't remember when i got the next dialogue box (on closing, or when
i opened again) but it asked a question about the movie and whatever i
answered i have never been able to play it again - just the message
saying media player can't do it

does anyone know what i may have changed? i've done quite few searches
and come up with nothing - but i saw this movie playing on the screen
and i know it worked

any help would be much appreciated

(by the way I know i can change the .mov file to another format with
quicktime pro and will end up doing that if i have to but as i saw it
on the big screen it will save an extra step if i don't have to. this
is the only pc i have to use so the setting doesn't even have to
travel ...)
