Quicktime loves to do this. Even though I uncheck things.

I was going through looking at ringtones, and they play in QT, which I don't
want too.

I checked folder associations, and windows media player is the wmp, even
checked advanced.

If I disable the plug in (QT) I go to this site,
http://www.unlimitedringtones.com/yahoo/tab2.aspx# most of the mp3's play
fine till I do a search, then it tells me the plug in is disabled though
they are mp3's and supposedly wmp is suppose to play them.
I don't really want to reset all my websettings under tools

thanks

The only solution for that, that I've seen, was in the Media Player group
and resulted in them uninstalling QT entirely. Ranting over at the Apple
site might do some good if they notice.

Ranting over at the apple site will do no good they are a dictatorship and
they really don't listen to anyone. The only way to solve this problem is
to keep asking MSFT to allow MSAS(Windows Defender) the option to disable
Quicktime and other by our choice.
Just an opinion
