I have a pc with WinXP Pro, and Quicktime 6.3. I was
trying to watch a streaming concert a couple of weeks ago
(www.remhq.com). I got the video but no sound, and nothing
I did would correct the problem. I was using dial-up at
the time, and did not have a firewall/virus scan installed
locally.
Last week, I got Comcast internet and a Linksys EtherFast
Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch (BEFSR41). I tried to
watch the concert again, and again got video but no sound.
I tried changing the settings again, but only wound up
causing the video to not work, and starting getting error -
2129. I disabled the firewall and virus scan I installed
when I got the cable modem, but that made no difference.
If the video/sound is embedded in a web page it will play,
but not the stand-alone.
I tried uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling it, but
the error -2129 remains.
