Quickest ways to purge 1800 inbox emails?

folder) or Shift+Del (to permanently delete them). If you choose to

able to get at it again.

Items that are "deleted" by moving them to the Deleted Items folder have NOT
been deleted. They've just been moved to another folder. Permanently
deleted items get their record status changed to reflect "delete", and
Outlook will not display delete-marked items.

Delete-marked items still occupy space in the .pst file. If you want to
reduce the size of the .pst file, you need to compact it.
