Windows XP quickcam chat

I am new on using the above camera.I phoned my sister on my skype connection, but we only get our own pictures up on the screen ,although we can hear each other well ,what is the problem with the cam connection ?

Firstly, you will need a webcam. You can use Skype with most webcams currently available, or you can purchase one that’s guaranteed to work seamlessly with Skype from the Skype shop.

To set up video, you’ll need the latest version of Skype for Windows or Skype for Mac. The first time you run Skype with a webcam installed, you will be taken through a few screens to help you get up and running.

You can also activate video by going to:

the problem is with the webcam I seem to just get my own picture up ,and don't see my sister who is on the other end of the skype line .I take it I will see her on a quickcam chat but can't ,help!!
