Am not sure as to where to post this question within windows 2000 newsgroups,
so i am gonna post it here and hope i can find out something.

Have a file in the task manager called quickbrowser.upg and it is taking up
99% of the cpu capacity, so i can't run anything else. Could someone tell me
what this file is and what it does and how do i get it to "slow down" so its
not killing all my applications within my system

It is not a W2k system file. There are no Google hits for it either. It
must either be from some application you installed or be a piece of
rogue software like adware or spyware.

If you can, try renaming the file (e.g., quickbrowser.xxx or something)
and see how the system runs. If all seems well, then see whether you can
tell how the file got there. Its location might be a clue.
