Quickbooks and access working together

We are a Interior trim company we provide labor and material to various
builders .
we interested in setting up a access data base ( we were told that access
might not support our needs.)
We would want it to work with QuickBooks, keeping track of budgeted time and
actual time, Vendor and customers invoices
and any other cost associated cost
