Hi,
I am sure there is easy fix/solution for this..... BUT........ Ever since I installed the Microsoft Passport Network stuff on my computer, I have had Windows XP coming up when I turn my computer on with a "log onto Windows" screen. It's a blue box that has my name in the field for "user name", but I have not put a password in so far. All I have to do is hit ENTER and the boot process will continue. I never had this feature when I originally installed Windows. It sure would be nice to just turn on my computer and have it start right into Windows XP. I do not need any type of security on my computer, sine there is no one else around to use the machine. Oh... I have gone through the process of uninstalling the .NET program, but it is obviously still loaded on my system.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Go to Start -> Run.
Copy and paste the following into the Open box:

control userpasswords2

Click OK.
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer".
Click OK.
In the box that pops up, replace Administrator in the "User
Name" box with your user account. Enter your password twice.
Note: You can leave the password box blank if your account does
not have a password.
Click OK twice and reboot to see if you get the desired
results.

Thanks Nepatsfan,
Like Dahhhhh.....I followed your directions and rebooted only to have a
another window come up saying there was a problem, and I was unable to get
into Windows . Got back into my system by way of the Safe Mode. Then I
followed the most important item I forgot to do - replacing
"Administrator" in the "user name" box with my own user account. Rebooted
and went right into Windows.....Hooray :-)

Guess it is better to follow ALL the instructions.

Thanks again,
Dan
