Hello All:

How do you restore the option to save to disk rather than having a download
open automatically.

Thanks

JS,

Enable the "confirm open after download" option for that filetype:

Click "Start" -> "Program Files" -> "Windows Explorer".

Then click "Tools" -> "Folder Options".

Change to the "File Type" tabs.

Scroll down to locate the file type. Highlight the filetype (example :"PPT
Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation") and click the "Advanced" button.

Then check the option "confirm open after download".

I'm referring to the option to save to disk which is missing. One of our
users claims the file automatically opens instead of affording them the
option to open or save to disk.

Yes, we know that's what you're referring to.

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Check the box for "Confirm open after download".
