What command can I run to tell me the Global Catalog Server in my Domain.
Where do I run this command? On my XP Workstation or on a WIN2K3 Server?

Thanks very much

dsquery server -forest -isgc

It's a 2K3 built-in utility, but you can copy it to an XP workstation and
run it from there as well.

Also, from the Support Tools on your CD-ROM, use repadmin.
See tip 7670 » How can I test if a domain controller is a Global Catalog server?

There is an implication in your question that might represent
a misunderstanding:

"THE Global Catalog Server" (emphasis added)

You may (and usually should) have more than one GC.

You should have "enough"; usually one or more per site.

But in a small forest, or any single domain forest, you can
easily just make all DCs -> GCs.
