Donate it to a charitable agency that
rebuilds PCs for the underprivileged.

A lot of old electronic kit contains lead solder (not to mention all that
plastic) so it's best if it doesn't go into land fill. Many landfill sites
(in the UK at least) have a collection point where you can drop off
semi-hazardous items or stuff that can be recycled. You might also consider
calling a local school - perhaps a hard up pupil might want it or want it
just for a scanner?

Put it on eBay at a starting price of $1, plus buyer pays for
shipping. If it sells, you can ship it out of town so at least it
won't end up in your local landfill.

If that doesn't work, drop it off at a Goodwill or Salvation Army
station. Or maybe there are places that recycle used computer stuff
for low income people.
