Quick question on browser

I just cleaned up my computer - deleted cookies & offline content - and all
of a sudden - if I open a link on some sites (that I have visited before) -
the new window opens up as a small box - now I can max it - and it is fine -
but the always opened maxed - is this a setting I can access? And how do I
do it? Thanks
 
Thanks for the reply - it did not wok - note that I am selecting it to open
in a new window - that may make a difference....

yesterday - it opened maxed - today it does not - I deleted all of the
cookies - and cleaned up (first cookie dump in years)..

Any other settings I can adjust??

So holding down the <CTL> key while clicking on the "X" button next to the
min/max buttons on the window in the upper right hand corner didn't do it?
If so, somewhere along the way the profile has lost the ability to update
the required registry key where this would be stored. Trying putting the
cursor in the middle of the title bar, hold down the <SHIFT> key and double
click to maximize, the double click again to return the window back to the
original size, then use the <CTL> and X-button to close the window.

1) Open IE window.
2) Resize window as required
3) CLOSE the window.
4) Next time window opens at the new size.
 
In addition to what CWatters said, I would add that you should close all
other browser windows first.
 
That did it!!!!

Closing all other browser windows did the trick....
