Quick Launch Icons

Hi Am I right in thinking that icons in the quick launch bar slow down the
start up. Can someone please tell me how to remove the unwanted icons from
the quick launch. Thanks

No, the quick launch icons have nothing to do with startup times,you
are thinking about the tray icons near the clock.how to disable them can be
found at the link below.
To disable the quick launch simply rt. click and delete.

One way is to right-click on it and choose delete.

But remove it only if you don't want it, not because of the incorrect
idea that it slows down anything.
