I've got this annoying problem that I haven't been able to figure out.
Every so often the icons on the quick launch tool bar just quit working.
I can click on them and they give the appearance of being depressed,
but nothing happens. No error message, nothing. If I right click on
one of the icons, instead of getting a pop-up menu for that program,
I'll get the pop-up menu as if I had right clicked on an empty space on
the task bar. When this happens the I can fix it it to log off, then
log back on again or by opening the task manager and stopping and
restarting explorer.exe.
This is on a HP laptop running Windows XP Pro with SP3 installed. I've
done a thorough scan with Avast Home virus scanner and didn't find any
viruses. It's not a major problem, just a big inconvenience that I'd
like to get straightened out.
