I want to create two quick launch bars on the same page
that contain different items in there respective quick
launches. The problem I've run into is that Frontpage
wants to link the two together so that what appears in
one is in the other.

How did you create these quick launch bars?

I copied the original quick launch on the left side and
copied/pasted it to the right side. I then deleted the
items on the right side that belonged on the left that
were copied over, but that deleted the items on the left
side as well as if they were linked in some way.

OK, I surmise that these "quick launch bars" are, in fact, Link Bar
components. And if you copy and paste Link Bar Componments, both Link
bars do in fact point to the same set of links. To fix this:

1. Delete one Link bar.
2. Choosing Web Components from the Insert menu.
3. Choose Link Bar in the list box at the left and Bar With Custom
Links
in the list box at the right.
4. Click Next, choose a Bar Style.
5. Click Next, then choose an Orientation.
6. Click Finish and give the Link Bar a Name.
7. For each link that you want, click Add Link then fill in the Text
To Display and Address boxes.
8. Click OK.

What is a Quick Lunch Bar?

Hot dog and a beer, 10 minutes in and out (the beer, of course, not
the hot dog).

Not to be confused with a Link Bar, at which you get sausages rather
than tube steaks. Other types of Link Bar have names like "19th Hole",
and still others double as meat markets.
