On a Windows 2000 member server, you move a
compressed file from an NTFS partition to a FAT
partition. How would this move affect the file
permissions and compression attributes? I think there are
two answers to this.

a.the permissions are not retained
b. the file would inherit the permissions of the
destination folder
c. the file would stay compressed
d. the file would no longer be compressed

Please help!

Yes

I think there are
two answers to this.

a.the permissions are not retained
True

b. the file would inherit the permissions of the

There wouldn't be any permissions to inherit on a FAT drive.
c. the file would stay compressed

File compression is part of NTFS.
d. the file would no longer be compressed

True.
