I use Outlook in WXP for my email program at work and home. Frequently I
need to send an electronic document (brief note, reminder, attachment, etc.)
from one to the other. To speed up this routine:

Is there a way to create an icon for the desktop or taskbar which, when
clicked, will open up a blank email pre-addressed to a specific email
address?

When right clicking on a file in Windows Explorer, the context menu includes
a "Send to..." feature. Can an item be added to this which will "Send to" a
particular e-mail address?

Thanks!

Open Outlook Exp.> Click Send > Enter "To:" > Click File > Save As > Save it
to your desktop .
Now when you double click that ,OLEXP will open and the "to:" field will be
filled with the previous address.

In sent to you already get an item "Mail Recepient" but that will not send
the file to a particular addrss. , you have to enter the address in this case
as far as i know.

Copy the desktop shortcut into the C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\SendTo folder

I'm using Outlook, not Outlook Express, but the first method works;
that is, I can save a *.msg file to the desktop (and taskbar) for
immediate use. However, Rob, when I copy this to my SendTo folder, It
doesn't even appear in the right click context menu. Is there another
way to do this or a variation on this approach?

It did not appear in my Sent to list too, that's why i not suggest you to
copy the file to send to folder

I recently found a better way to create an icon for the desktop or
taskbar which, when clicked, will open up a blank email pre-addressed
to a specific email address. It is creating a desktop shortcut using
"mailto:" It is best explained at the following url:

http://www.xp-tips.com/email-shortcuts.html

I am still looking for a way to add a specific email address to the
"send to..." feature of of the right click context menu of Windows
Explorer, however. Anybody?
