(I am probably in the wrong section but can anyone help with this please or
point me in the right direction?)

With my old 3.1 Siemens computer I had a program called "Quick Desk" which
enabled you to use the numeric keys on the keyboard as short cuts to files or
programs of choice. I brought this program forward to replacement computers
through Windows 98 and Windows XP Home SP2 quite satisfactorily. However it
now does not function properly - it does not respond to keyboard presses.

Is there a current version of this program or one that provides the same
function?

Bill

Did you perform a search on internet for Quick Desk? (adding other
qualifiers such as "Siemens", version number, etc., could help)

What has changed between the last successful use and now?

Good luck,
Engin

I have tried Google without success. I have also tried using System Restore.
I have tried removing the program and reinstalling from the disc that came
with my Siemens computer. Immediately after re-installing the program works
and responds to keyboatd clicks. BUT once I shut down and reboot the program
loads and I can make it work by clicking the icon in the system tray but not
just using the numeric keypad.

Thanks for your interest.

Many thanks for this, Tim. I will give it a try. Meantime I have persevered
with QuickDesk. I tried uninstalling and re-installing without success.
Eventually I uninstalled, then searched for any residual files relating to it
and deleted those, shut down the system, rebooted and then re-installed.
Eureka! It is now functioning properly again.
